If you are planning on bringing a computer to use at Susquehanna, you should verify that your computer meets our recommended specifications:
We recommend a PC with:
- Intel Core i5 Process or better
- 8GB of memory or more
- 256 GB hard drive or more (solid state or flash)
- Wireless card: 802.11n (Wi-Fi 4), 802.11ac (Wi-Fi 5), or 802.11ax (Wi-Fi 6)
- Operating System: Windows 10 64-bit (version 2004+) or Windows 11
- A business-class notebook such as Dell’s Latitude or Mobile Precision models or HP’s ProBook, EliteBook, or ZBook models are highly recommended. Consumer grade computers such as Dell’s Inspiron or XPS or HP’s Pavilion or Envy should be avoided.
We recommend a Mac with:
- Intel Core i5 Processor or better / Apple M1 or better chip
- 8GB of memory or more
- 256 GB hard drive or more (solid state or flash)
- Operating System: macOS 10.15, 11, 12
- A MacBook Air (2018 or later) or MacBook Pro (2018 or later) is recommended.
If you are planning to purchase a new computer for college, we recommend purchasing a business-class Dell, HP, or Apple computer. Education discounts are available for you through the special links below!
