Technology Offered in the 5 Main Event Venues on Campus

The venue spaces at Susquehanna University are able to accommodate a wide variety of events. The 5 main event venue spaces are as follows: Weber Chapel Auditorium, Stretansky Concert Hall, Degenstein Center Theater, Isaacs Auditorium, and Faylor Hall. This article will introduce each venue space and give an overview of the technology offered in each space.

 

  1. Weber Chapel Auditorium

Weber Chapel Auditorium is the largest venue space on campus. It can house an audience of up to 1,500 people. It features a large rotating stage, one side is a chancel, the other is a theatrical stage for productions. Each “side” of the stage can be turned to face the audience by a trained staff member if notice is given in advance.

In terms of technology, Weber Chapel has an in-house sound system, a portable projection system available upon request with enough time given in advance to set up (2 weeks minimum) and a theater lighting system. Lighting changes are available upon request with enough time given in advance (2 weeks minimum).

    • Dual or Single screen projection is available upon request
  6. Virtual Streaming/Video
    • This is to reserve a camera for live streaming your event.

  7. Audio Tech
    • Music, Audio or Video Sound Playback – used for sound playback for any music or videos played before, during or after your event

  1. Stretansky Concert Hall

In the Cunningham Center for Music and Art is Stretansky Concert Hall, housing an audience of up to 320 people. It is a popular choice for mid-sized lecture style events and acoustic music performances.

In terms of technology, Stretansky Concert Hall has an in-house sound system, projection capabilities and a small theater lighting system. Lighting changes are available upon request with enough time given in advance (2 weeks minimum).

  1. Degenstein Center Theater

Degenstein Center Theater houses an audience of up to 450 people. Its primary use is for Artist Series shows, on-campus theatrical productions and mid-sized lecture style events.

In terms of technology, Degenstein Center Theater has an in-house sound system, projection capabilities and theater lighting capabilities. Lighting changes are available upon request with enough time given in advance (2 weeks minimum).

  1. Isaacs Auditorium

Recently renovated, Isaacs Auditorium is a small auditorium located in Seibert Hall. Seating 158 people, it is primarily used for small lectures and chamber music performances.

In terms of technology, Isaacs Auditorium has a house sound system, projection capabilities and updated track lighting for additional light on stage. Lighting changes are available upon request with enough time given in advance (2 weeks minimum).

  1. Faylor Hall

The last of the 5 main venue spaces is Faylor Hall, located in Fisher Hall. Faylor Hall is a large classroom style space, typically used for small lectures and movie nights.

In terms of technology, Faylor Hall has a dedicated computer, in house sound system, projection capabilities and a DVD/BluRay player. Upon request, microphones can be used in this space.
