Add Turnitin to Assignments

  1. Log in to Canvas and click on your course.
  2. In the Course Navigation Menu, click on “Assignments.”

     
  3. In the new window, click on “+ Assignment.”

     
  4. In the new window, fill in the assignment details. In the Submission Type section, click on the box next to “Text Entry” or “File Uploads.” These are the only two submission types accepted by Turnitin.

     
  5. In the “Plagiarism Review” section, click on the arrow next to “None” and then click on “Turnitin” from the dropdown menu.

     
  6. In the “Show report to students” section, click on the arrow next to “Immediately” and click on the appropriate choice from the drop down menu.
