Canvas courses are not visible to students unless they are published. Once they are published students will be able to access the course and its materials.
NOTE: Any material that does not have a green check mark is not published, and as such is not visible to your student. If you are ever curious about what your student can see, click on ‘Student View’ in the top right corner of your course homepage.
- When you have all your materials ready to go for the semester, make sure you publish your course, so it is visible for your students
- Click on ‘Publish’ in the top right corner of your home page to make your page and any published materials visible to the students who are enrolled in your course.
When your course is published, the red unpublished will disappear and the published will turn green
