Sending a Message out to Students Using the Inbox

  1. Go to https://susqu.instructure.com
  2. Click on Inbox in the Global Navigation Menu

     
  3. To compose a new message, click on the pencil in the right-hand corner of your screen

     
  4. Select the course you wish to send a message to

     
  5. Select who you would like to send the message to. You can send to all the people in the course, if you have another instructor in the course, you can send them a message privately, or you can send the message to all students in your course or select only certain students. (To do this click the arrow to the right of the option, and select the person from the list that appears)

     
  6. Give your message a subject and begin composing your message. When you are finished, click ‘Send’

     
  7. If you would view the inbox, see unread messages, starred conversations, sent messages, or submission comments for a specific course, click the first drop-down menu in the top left corner to select the course. To change what you are seeing, click the drop-down menu to the right of your course selection menu.
