If you are experiencing the issue with “missing”
Teams Files (issue shown below), please follow the instructions within this
document.
How to
Uninstall and Reinstall Teams and fix “Missing Files Issue”
1. Open your
search bar by clicking the magnifying glass button as shown below on the task
bar.
2. Type in “Add
or remove programs” and select the top result, as shown below.
3. A window
will pop up and a list of “Apps and Features” will appear, please scroll down
until you see “Microsoft Teams”, as shown below.
4. Click
Microsoft Teams and select “Uninstall”.
a. Please
note: The application will ask to validate clicking “Uninstall” a second time.
5. Once the
uninstall is completed, navigate to https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-teams/download-app#desktopAppDownloadregion
6. Select the
option for “Teams work or school”.
7. A download
should automatically start for you and show up on your screen. Double-click on
the download to run the application installer.
8. The
Application will launch and say “Installing Microsoft Teams” on the window.
9. Teams
should automatically launch after the installation is completed. At this point,
navigate to “Teams” and check the “Files” that were having issues before
referencing this document. You should now be able to see the Teams Files and
use them as intended.
