I have content in my SU account that I want to keep, what should I do?
You may have emails, calendar events, address book contacts, and files stored in your SU account which you may want to keep.
- Individual emails or calendar items you wish to keep should be forwarded to your personal account.
- To export your address book / contacts, use these instructions. Please note that if you have your SU email configured on your phone, you may have been unknowingly saving all of your phone’s contacts to your SU account’s address book. We recommend verifying your phone’s default address book location, and exporting your SU contacts as a precaution. The exported file can be imported into a personal Outlook.com/Gmail account or viewed in Excel on your computer.
- You can download files or folders from your OneDrive to your computer using these instructions.
Can I forward my SU Emails to my personal email account
As a courtesy, the Office of Information Technology permits graduates to have any new messages sent to their SU emails forwarded to a personal email account until their account closure date. This is normally activated from after graduation until your account is closed.
Instructions on how to set this up can be found here.
Can I keep Microsoft Office on my computer?
As a reminder, your Microsoft Office software, which you may have installed on your computer(s) and/or mobile devices will become "de-licensed" once your SU Office 365 account is closed. Will I still have access to LinkedIn Learning once my SU account closes?
Once your SU account closes, you will no longer have access to LinkedIn Learning courses and materials unless you purchase a subscription (your earned certificates and badges will still appear on your LinkedIn profile). It is recomended that you disconnect your SU Account from your LinkedIn Learning profile before your account is closed to avoid any access issues. Instructions to do this can be found here.
It is also recomended that if your personal LinkedIn account is linked to your SU Email Address to change it to a personal address. To update your email on LinkedIn, follow these steps.
What else do I need to do?
Remember, if you have services associated to your SU address, be sure to change your registered address with those services before your account is closed. Examples may include: Your Apple ID, Netflix, Amazon, Facebook, Twitter, etc.
